Born in 1985, Mazen Khaddaj is a multidisciplinary Lebanese artist working in painting, performance, video art, and installation. A Graphic Design graduate from the American University of Science and Technology (2008), Khaddaj transitioned from a career in advertising to fully focus on art.
His artistic journey began with painting, debuting his first solo show Bonds in Beirut (2013). Over time, he embraced a multidisciplinary approach, blending video performances and installations, such as The Eye (2016), now in the permanent collection of MACAM, Lebanon. Residency at Pilotenkuche in Leipzig (2015) led him to relocate to Germany, where his work increasingly explored themes of identity and migration, exemplified by I am a Foreigner (2017) and Spot The Foreigner (2019).
