Kurkdjian discovered her passion for painting after leaving her banking career to enroll in Fine Arts school. Her extensive exploration of philosophy, theology, and psychology, particularly through work with patients, became the catalyst for her artistic journey.

In her canvases, Kurkdjian explores the intricate web of human relationships, pushing the boundaries of visible interactions to reveal the radical nature of connections. Through intimate portrayals of children feeding from their mothers, figures contorted in their underwear, and individuals eating their own feet, she infuses her work with dark humor.
